Uncovered the Pot of Hot Bulalo

It was a nice afternoon when the family is complete and spending our leisure time in videoke-ing. Whilst enjoying the day singing, I suddenly thought to go on a road trip with the whole family to Tagaytay. It was already 6pm when we left our home to do the road trip and it was already dark. Not a good thing for sight-seeing anymore. So we went there only to eat Bulalo.

There are lots of restaurants that offer Bulalo along Tagaytay-Nasugbo Road that is known as Bulalo Belt. But we were able to dine in Bulalo Point. It was a very spacious restaurant, I think overlooking Taal but because we get there by night, we won't able to see the good view. It was a perfect place for a big group to dine, sip the hot soup of Bulalo or hot coffee while looking at the perfect view of Taal Lake. Sabi nga ni Drew of Byahe ni Drew, higop sabay tingin sa view..perfect! Very relaxing right?

P380 PER ORDER
This is it! The meat is so tender! It falls off the bone! But the soup tastes salty for me (but for my hubby and kids, it's just right). It would be taste good suitable for all taste buds if they will allow the costumer to season it according to the level of their taste. It tastes like a simple nilagang baka for me. Anyway, you could also try other menu they offer, or choose other restos along Bulalo belt where to dine that also has live music to enjoy.

Original Digman Halo-Halo

Init! Whew!
That was the weather yesterday here in Cavite. Though it drizzled in the aftertoon, it feels so humid.

When i browsed my FB and see a post from one of my FB friend who is a blogger too, it reminded me of the Halo-Halo featured in Jessica Soho which I craved for from the time I've seen it on TV.

As part of my blogging assignment in exploring Cavite, yesterday was the perfect time to visit the Original Digman Halo-Halo.

First I needed the help of Google map since we will get there by private car. Very Good that it only takes 24 minutes from our place! With my travel buddy hubby, we've finally reached our destination so quick!

When we arrived in the street, we saw the other Digman Halo-Halo that comes first before the Original Digman's that was featured in Jessica Soho. So don't be confused when you get there if you want to try the Original one. The signage should have the picture of old lady and inside has the Sto. Niño tip box.

What we ordered:

First on the list, of course their famous Halo-Halo!
Original Digman's Halo-Halo with scoop of ice cream -P75
Here is my honest review about their halo-halo. Wow! It so tall and lots of ingredients but it looks so typical. How about the taste? Nothing so special it's just enough sweetness in every ingredients. The leche flan was not creamy and the shaved ice gave me brain freeze! Sabi nga ni hubby,  walang x-factor. I would still go for halo-halo of Razon's of Guagua Pampangga.

They also serve tapsilog but because we arrived there in merienda time, aside from the Halo-Halo,  we ordered the home-made siopao, pancit guisado and tahong chips which tasted it from them for the first time and it's good.

I wish they served this with good plate not in broken edge like this 😕

I know we have different taste in foods and this blog is my personal review of the Digman's halo-halo.

HOW TO GET THERE:
From Molino Rd. Ride a jeep going to Baclaran then ask the driver to drop you at General Evangelista Road. From there ride another jeep going to Binakayan and ask the driver to drop you off to Digman (Digman is a small Baranggay which I once thought is the surname of the owner of the store ). Just walk through the narrow street and there you will find first the talk of the town halo-halo and then left turn is the Original Digman Halo-Halo.

From Baclaran, ride a Paliparan jeep then drop off to General Evangelista Road. Ride Binakayan jeep and ask the drivee to drop you in Digman. Walk through the narrow street and there you will find the talk of the town halo-halo and turning left is the Original one.
